Thank you, yes he is a bit of a misery,but I suppose he feels he is part of the family .
We did have one hard frost it killed all the dahlias but it has been milder ever since.Archie says sale for pickled onions is slow anf folk are not buying jams as the papers scare folk about eating sugar. Also it is not cold enough for selling pallet wood. Well he is going on holiday again so perhaps the flower gave him a booster.

Brr' I don't like your snow Kabu., but the birds are arriving here Long tailed tits, Blue tits, and blackbirds and wrens and of course the Robin. We get a few seagulls, I think they keep the streets cleaner by eating up thrown away take-a-ways.

Archie comes up with some real doozies, but all in all I suppose he's a good chap, as you would say on your side of the pond. It is a lot of work though. Do be careful in cold weather. I thought the poem today was fun, refreshing and original in content, really nice.

I like the grumbling that goes between you and Archie, it seems
