I was in school when I found out. I found out about the Pentagon first, then about the World Trade Center a little later. Never before and after have I been so glued to a television.

I was in Seattle, 6:30 a.m., looking at the news as I got ready to grab

the bus from Beacon Hill downtown to work. At first I thought the scene was from a disaster movie - couldn't believe it could possibly be real. Then I decided not to let the bastards stop me from doing my job - and went to work. My house was under the flight path to SeaTac International Airport and the commercial Boeing field in Seattle. That day all air traffic stopped, and for a week there was eerie, ominous silence. It helped to know that good people all over the world were also grief-stricken and shocked. We must learn to settle our differences through negotiation.

I, Joe Love and our employees were watching it on two tiny TVs in our Tour Company office in Lexington, KY......We were in shock,  but the next day, some how or the other people were selling American Flags that you put in you car windows and roll them up...and you weren't with it  if you didn't have one on both sides of your cars (they jumped from $3.00 to $10 in one short day......

Kabu, darling...

Magnificent post, dear S. Sister! Here, many of us displayed the flag of the USA openly on our homes or properties or cars for quite a while. Some still do that. Tragic that to do so has now become a symbol for something else; something political. The world needs more Kabus; people who will try to make their corner of the world a little brighter, and in so doing will make every corner of the world a little brighter. Thank you for being so inspiriational.
