I heard from Big V, on Twitter:
Aug 18: Finally some good news. My cancer markers are dropping back & only 2 more chemo treatments. I'm weakly tired, but triumphant. I'm tens of thousands in the hole & can't buy a 5 cent used pencil but I'm still here. In the end that's all that counts.
Aug 25: 2 days post last chemo treatment & I slept 12 hours, the best I've slept in several months. I'm still sluggish of mind & writing again is 2-3 weeks away, I can at least tell myself that things will soon return to normal. Sometimes you must know pain to know happiness.
I have Amazon's Kindle Unlimited.....and I am just reading one of his books (short story) Are you familiar with his story: "The Haunting Of A Small Town" Are you familiar with it? He Credits you and Annicita........ in his intro:

That's great about the billing situation getting solved. Sadly, there are so many people out there that take advantage of the elderly.
That's some cold weather you are getting. I think it will be a few more months before we get to freezing temperatures.

Well that's really nice keeping all those leaves from last year. Yes one has to be careful where money is concerned. I have seen families put their mother into council care when a house is involved. That was early for a frost ,here some folk who grew dahilias have not had a bloom it has been so dry. I hope you recovered the overpayments. Poor Wiley would have soon sorted them out when he was himself. Makes one wonder how many more elderly folk, are in that loop.

Happy to see you here again today. It's good to have some help
with the financials, the repetitive details can be so tiresome - especially in that they are so necessary. Hang in there you two lovebirds. I think of you when I hear the poem: "Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be, the last of life for which the first was made." I wish my memory of the author's name was at the tip of my tongue... Lovely pic. of the autumn porch.
