Evenings in my first years of college, there was the coffee house that had shelves of games, rather than books. My crowd generally played Hearts, while in the other room of this old carriage house, others played folk music and sang, and sometimes we sang along...
I would be a regular at your coffee house!
My gran rolled a ball of butter and sugar together... She buttered the bread for peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches... She poured half'n'half on our cereal... Best of all, one night when I was cranky and sleepless, she made toast with butter and honey--I was skeptical until the first bite, then a gonner forever!

i wish I had been thoughtful enough to put a library of books into one of my coffee shops.
BTW I love mashed potatoe with a dollop of butter hidden in the middle and we used to make sugar sandwiches as well...long time ago.

What greaet ideas you have! And my mother had spoken of mayo sandwiches and also sugar sandwiches. She'd also put salt on watermelon. What a fun time you must have had with your grandmother.

wonderful, i love the idea of your coffee shop. i often do the same thing imagining a little business i could create. i had the only porcelain doll studio in nyc back in the 80's, loved every minute of it. and after everyone in my husbands family told me i couldnt do it, infact the exact quote was "what makes you think you can do that."
