Kabu

It makes me want to see your garden, sparrows and the gnome all.

Kabu

What a lovely post! And so clever and cute about the birdies. Your yard will be splendid, I'm sure. We've had birds here this year I've never seen before. Now, as long as your new gnome doesn't get onto your phone and call his friends...

I love his chair.  My Dad always made us those kind of yard chairs when I was a kid.  I used to read in those chairs in the shade of the big oak tree.  I always had a glass of iced tea sitting on the arm of the chair.  Now I would be afraid of sitting under an oak tree.  They say we are having a plague of oak mites that land on you and cause terrible itching.

The garden is back in full swing. For a time, it felt like spring/summer would never arrive.

I don't know about the wrens being playboys, but I have read

that sparrows of either gender are known to get busy any time the opportunity comes, whether or not the other one is the one that helped build the nest and finance the mortgage.  I like your cozy new gnome. Is his name Fred?

Do you know Kabu I missed you Friday . The days seem to pass so quickly > The young starlings are a pest here they keep squawking, but I suppose it will not last long. I have not heard the cuckoo for years now once it was a regular sound, times change. Don't forget to wear knee pads if you kneel on the ground. God listens if you stand up.
