It can be really tempting to rearrange a few things especially if it is a topic you are knowledgeable about yourself.

I love your description of the editor's job - bringing out the writer's
voice. I enjoy the editing process, too. Problem is, once I've gone over a piece of work a time or two, it begins to feel like mine to shape and mold, and I have to make myself let go.
