I did notice one gentleman had blocked me but I think it was an overall block as no other comments were made. I can't really see the problem though if one does not want to read any blog,why try to annoy the person writing it?

It wasn't Wiley. I've posted on a couple of his posts in the last couple weeks. If it had been him, I would have asked you what I had done. I have your email!
Let me explain something here. The only reason I even mention this is because of 'old history' here. Of all the people who were here and super active, only one person from that era is still semi active. I won't post that name because it isn't important. There was another poster here who I had a pretend clash with on and off for a week and everyone knew it except this other person. The poster with whom I was 'battling' were steady email friends and we thought it was funny. The other poster took something I said out of context and there it went.
The trouble maker would not shut up about it and kept blathering about in a dozen posts a week and he/she stirred the place up huge. There was no reason it happened other than the person was bored and had nothing important to post. Every time I made a post, he/she had to make a nasty comment on it. I eventually began to make fewer post comments and eventually stopped altogether. It didn't stop this person from continuing to harass me and nothing was done about it, so I left.
The weird thing is I continued to stop by here over the years and I paid dues. My login and password are still the same as it was back in 2002. I was gone about two years once and when I returned, all of my previous story posts had been removed. I came back for several months in something like 2007/2008, but life intervened and I got pulled away for other reasons. I think I came back for good in late 2010/early 2011.
For the record, I probably shouldn't have even mentioned this deal. It isn't a big deal, but I catch flack for 'not commenting' on blog posts. I read a number of posters here on a steady basis, including three of the four that have me blocked. I keep track of my own stats and I know that many people read my stuff, they just don't comment on them. The problem with the world today is that we all want 'instant justice' and if someone says something that another misconstrues, they go goofy. NO ONE has ever said anything bad to me since I last came back, but I decided it was better to keep quiet and just write than to cause a problem.
My life is pretty darn good, all things considered and I'm beginning to really catch my writing stride. I like it here and I don't want to 'war' with anyone. I have email contacts with at least four people here now. I've reached out to one person here to ask if I could 'buy' something they had posted for use in a book I am working on behind the scenes. I recently sent them roughly 10,000 words of that story to show them how I would use their work. We came to an agreement and I am looking for one more submission for this story. They are working on that request.
I see a lot of talent here. I've sent notes to a cople of other posters asking to talk to them about including something they had written in one of my stories, but none of them ever respond. Not everyone read or answers email and it is possible it gets tossed by their spam filters. As I recall the first time I email Kabu, her email was returned to me as 'blocked' by her ISP. It happens. I get about 150 emails a day, most of which don't really require an interaction, but this is the time of the year I get requests to write columns. Money is money and I'll take it anyway I can earn it legitimately
I don't want to stir problems here and thus, other than a few of my steady reads where I have commented upon before, I'll just continue to post and read. Today was just a bad day for me and I won't allow outside things to affect what happens here again. Sorry!

Wiley may have done that by accident if you went to read any of his posts. he isn't sure what he is doing any more, some times or forgets.
I cannot think of any reason why anyone would block you friend ...I have been blocked by a few folks but never block anyone myself.

These are more seasoned posters. As I said, I don't take offense and I don't hold grudges. Life is far too short to be perpetually upset about things you can't change. I find more errors in my stuff here than I can find while I'm scanning through the Word document. I'm not sure why, but they are 'invisible' on my Word worksheet, but as soon as I post them here, they stick out like a sore thumb. For no other reason, posting here is valuable.
I get these reports from Grammarly every Monday. Last week was an off week for me due to my trip and the resulting flu symptoms and I only chalked up just shy of 15,000 words. The week prior, it was over 27,000 words and I average about 21,000 words a week. I'm working to clear out all of my novellas and short stories so I can work on my novels. It is my full intention to write at least four 40,000 novels in 2018 plus a few novellas.
Make no mistake. I like this place. There are some very talented people here and I enjoy reading here when I have the time. I wish it was as busy as it used to be back when I first joined, but FB has ruined a lot of things. I rarely post anything there any more.We all do things to divert ourselves from the dark shadows of the mind. Some people drink, some do drugs, and some knit. I write to keep my demons away.

What? Why? Did I miss something somewhere? Yes, it is possible someone could have accidently hit the "block' key." I've almost done it without realizing it a couple of time! Had to go back and check to be sure I hadn't done that.

It could just be new blogit people who are not sure what some settings are for. Years ago I blocked someone by accident and didn't even know it.
