really love it is difficult for me to understand Australia has had same pay for same work since the 1970's...mind you women weighted jobs like nursing 'tend to pay less per hour than say a physiotherapist where more men work. and of course you are right about clothing where women's can out price mens in crazy amounts. We have paid our taxes. I intend to apply for a bigger pension here soon. 10 yrs and i can apply and all those yrs exchange on my money has given Canad a hefty help out of my pocket.

Good thinking Pat we have a stupid thing here, it is a fuel payment,but it applies to all over a certain age . It was to be scrapped but such a fuss was raised that it still continues. One man actually said he buys a case of good wine with his payment.

Good for you, getting the Senior Exemption. You are right, women have been on the short end of the money stick for a long time, and you have earned it. I didn't know about Senior Exemptions. Hmmm?
