Re: Aba Bro

How strange the weather is this year. I, at one time or another, have had the experience of riding both a camel and an elephant. Very short rides. I do recall the camel, bit smooth, but I was quite young. It was as you said. And the elephant was a bit better, but I felt sorry for it.

Jaisalmer is now flooded with freaky rains those people hardly get to see in one's lifetime. I once went there with a brigadier friend of my father's in an army truck full of luxurious amenities. We rode the camels and a mile-ride can literally break your backs. But I was young then and enjoyed the ride thoroughly.

I noticed the contrast. Each a sight of beauty.

Two distinct landscapes...one full of water and canals, the other a desert but soo beautiful in its own way.The yellow sandstone carvings you get to see there are a rare treasure.

Re: Re: Re: shamasehar

Ah, Venice. I have an antique lithograph of A Night in Venice above my desk. I googled Jaiselmer and it is awesomely beautiful, also.

Re: chuck_ibrahim

Oh, thank you, Chuck! I'm so glad you noticed that. I was beginning to think that all the lead-up to the end overwhelmed the entire write, and maybe it did. So thank you for commenting about the last lines.

Re: C_C_T

Thank you, C_C_T. It was a sweet, safe time. The cares of the world should not belong to a child; you are correct.

Re: TAPS

What a neat memory! I used to love to watch the rainbows in the soap bubbles...that was magical to me; how a rainbow could get into a soap bubble.

Remember when momma sent us out to pick some ripe tomatoes we'd come back in and wash our hands and arms and the soapsuds would turn green?  I thought it was magic back then.  LOL

Re: Re: Aww, bro

I'll have lunch only when I reach home at 3 pm, that'll be 1.30 or 2 of your night. We Bengalis like you Italians, are grea food lovers, the staple diet being rice and river fish. Also in India, the best sweetmakers are Bengalis.

Re: Aww, bro

Did you nit have lunch yet? You'd better have a bite soon. Food is quite important in my family and the Italian  culture. It is the central thought before all, it seems. But I understand other cultures place equal emphasis upon it.

Aww, sis

I just couldn't keep my mind on the poetry, because the description was so sumptuous and tasty in my imagination that I felt ravenously hungry. Today I am quite free in the univ to be jabbering. Lol!
