Brexit didn't do them any favors, so for now, it is over. They have so many friends in the Seattle area, too, it is a home-coming for Marika! But I am imagining some trips together back to England now and then!

In her later years, my mother complained about most everything, including waking up every morning to face another day of pain and frustration as her body failed. She lived with my sister then, and for her it was getting hard to live with, all that anger and frustration at just about everything. One day when I was visiting, Mom was grousing about this and that, and I quoted her a saying I'd heard: The more you complain, the longer God makes you live. She shut right up, and Julie just laughed!

excellent thinking for God helps them that help themselves...no Mr. Wren not help yourselves to other peoples things. So the UK experience is over ?

Love the saying at the end... There's another one that I grew up with.
Laugh and the world laughs with you... So glad to hear Embers is better. On the scales of what touches my thinking, that counts as a positive. Hope the travelers all arrive safely...
