The further south they do seem to almost always hit terrible weather and of course as hi Mother I wish this wan't on his bucket list but am proud as well.

For some reason it is usually wet, grey and windy foe this race ... supposed to be summer but nearly lays rins doesn't it?  

PS ...really miffed that Ben Ainsley was knocked out of the America's Cup... after I bought the t-shirt too...hope your boy has better luck 🌞

The racing sounds very exciting. I do not know of any sailboat races in Maryland. I am sure they are around.

Wow! Congrats to your Son #1! Sydney to Hobart is famous, and I would love to crew in that race! As you may remember, I'm a bit of a sailor and have done some racing in Europe and of course on Lake Ontario, but this would beat it all! It's a tough race on a tough stretch of water. In '98 they had what may have been the 'storm of the century', and I have Rob Mundle's book about it, Fatal Storm...I'm mentioning that not in order to cause you concerns, but simply to show that it's a real accomplishment to take part! I'd sign on right now if I could...
