I always feel sorry for restaurants and stores, when too much competition moves nearby. Especially puzzling is when one convenience store / station already exists at an intersection, and then a competitor builds a new one right across the street! It is almost like they are purposely trying to put the first one out of business. They are fighting for the same customers.

One has to be a smart business manager to keep ahead of the mob. Some times I find it is better to buy from a smaller business than from a multinational because one gets better service in every way.

It is always tough at the top FS. Someone who skims all the trade is vulnerable.
