TAPS

Dropping in late on your delightful childhood memories...I'm in a kind of frantic pre-trip 'clearing of the decks', though a predicted mega-snowstorm may delay things anyway...

Why not?  Changelings don't grow up?  LOL  I still think it's possible...

I have throughout the past.  They are spread all over the place, and I'm sure I will again.  She was a wonderful mother.

Re: Pat_B

Yes, every bit of the Peter Pan story and movie were so very special.  I loved that big fluffy dog....Nana or something.  (memory?)

Re: Kabu

You should have heard my "sweet gentle voice" when I was screaming at my four sons when they were young and being boys.  LOL

Re: CCT

Now little children have Smartphones instead of fairy-tale books.  There are animated videos with fairies in them, but it's not the same as those wonderful books and reading.

It was the age of make believe Taps. Kids used imagination to brighten lives and even some prominent  adults were enraptured by the thought. Remember seeing little photos of fairies. .

It looks like we are in line for a Nor-easter. We will see how that goes...I remember reading fairy tales as a kid. We learned about them in third grade. That was one of my favorite units.

hmmm... I don't know much about changlings, but what makes you so sure you're not one of them?  You still could be?

Those European fairies sound more like Goblins or Trolls. And of course you are a beautiful fairy child of nature. I have talked to you on the telephone to know that your sweet gentle voice has the music of the fairies.

My favorite fairy is the little one in Peter Pan. Tinker Bell.

Tiny but mighty, that one. Perhaps you were sprinkled with fairy dust. Loved your mother's answer.  And of course your suspicions were correct: there is more to you than meets the eye.

That was a brilliant answer from your mom! Loved this post, TAPS. Just what we need on the late morning after a hectic week. I love fairy tales too - even still.
