Yes, the rates are outrageous! Pet insurance helps but doesn't cover eveything.

vet bills used to be within reason then suddenly they went crazy in price. The worst is sometimes an ailing animal is just left somewhere or put down because of the costs. makes me sad to think about but I am so glad that Embers is going to be alright.

Seems vets really charge a lot now, and I've heard pet owners can
actually buy health insurance policies for them. Aside from being afraid of tripping over a small animal, I don't think I could afford to take proper care of one these days.
