A housekeeper is a wonder. I had one all through my children's growing up. Now that I am older I would love one, but I fear I am so ticky in my ways no one would take the job.

Well if I say it myself I have wonderful house cleaner. Only he grouses all the time and will brush down the stairs instead of using the vacuum cleaner.Of course I taught him years ago when we had to scrub the chicken houses until they were immaculate. It is a pleasure to walk into a newly cleaned house. But we don't allow toothbrushes to be used that strikes of an old Army project.

House cleaners are wonderful. I would like to hire one, but I really need to get my house organized before doing so. I am coming along on that front.

I have no trouble whatsoever ignoring those domestic goddess

tendencies. All I have to do is remember how it was when I was "in training" and my perfectionist mother would say "if you're not going to do it right, why bother with it at all."

You mean you actually want to do some sweeping with that broom?

Oh, yeessss, S. Sister! Can I ever relate to this post! I think I bought that same thing once (whatever it's called, I know not). LOL. Not that I would actually use it much. I'll be the first to admit, cleaning is not my strong suit. Cooking, yes! Not that I can't clean, but I, too, have my priorities... Sure, my house is clean, orderly, uncluttered: I have someone come in these days. It is so much better, and everybody is happier. But back in the day...I juggled it all, like you. Good post.
