Intriguing.  I've always loved a forest--any forest--and all things therein.

Thank you, kasperhoe. Did you read my first comment to Aba? That should explain. It.

Haunting! I wonder how Siggi Freud would interpret this dream...

Re: Re: Re: Kabu

Thank you, Kabu. I never know. I love your way of thinking, dear sweet S. Sister, and you are right about poems making people stop and think, or feel - something, at least! If they do, that is good - imho.

Re: Re: Kabu

No it is a wonderful poem. maybe I am wrong but a truly good poem makes people stop and think and so many people see so many different possibilities. My way of thinking anyway.

Two souls bringing love together after a walk in the dark.

Beautiful

By some reason, I couldn't stop thinking of a lonely walker, standing there as the second person.

But at the same time, I wondered of a few things: "Being safe from what?" and "What brought the protagonist to this darkened road?"

Re: Re: Aba

I would certainly like it to go down better. I'll have a Saturday party.

Re: Aba

I love your comment! This is where I claim some creative license. Operative word: 'dream.' I invented a dream, a person in a forest, a path! What it represents is simple: as we go through life we meet different people. And anyone who claims the path of life is an easy route is either a liar or a fool, in my humble Italian opinion. So no, I don't think you're inebriated, but perhaps this poem would have gone down better if you had been! LOL!

Re: Kabu

You are right, we all read something different into some poetry. I claim a lot of creative license on this one, though. Perhaps it's not a very good poem... Seems confusing for folk.

My take is that this poem has a whole lot of possibilities, doubt mixed with fear - hope with doubt, luminescent yet far too treacherous for one as I, the waiting, ever waiting, to be safe again, wondering? Why again . . . Oh, my ramblings . . . Somehow I know that I am not clear. Helpless, the best I can describe myself. I must give it a deeper thought. Am I inebriated?

wondering if there was a bridge between you and the one who seeks you. We all read something different into poetry and that is what I find so wonderful. I have written poems that followed my though pattern and found otheres read something else.

For me I feel this soul is seeking forgiveness

Rather soul searching RP. Sometimes it is this hard to walk the path you have so vividly described one cannot help wondering if it was a lost love that you painfully sought.
