It sounds like things are going to get interesting around your place...even moreso than they already have been.

I used to see a lot of angst and acting out among new college students
who checked into student housing when I worked at the university's housing office. They'd be A-OK for a week or two, and then homesickness would set in. They'd fight with roommates, think all their classes were stupid and their teachers uncaring dictators. (No nudging and coddling at college level like they'd get from parents and high school teachers.) They'd come to the housing office & rant that life is crap and then you die, to which I'd respond that what they were feeling was the normal post-partum depression and tell 'em to give it one more week, if it didn't work by then, we'd talk about giving up. Most of those who were so distressed managed to get in the swing of it - kids move so fast. Of course that was the '70s and they're educated and reared differently these days.

lets hope it is also a fun experience for you all and he is a good kid to have around. there is a boot camp at Wagga, their firsdt three months. Some of those kids were so young. Some ran away. They weren't allowed off site for 9 weeks and they would come into my coffee shop back when ...word was it was the place to go ...and they would eat enormous amounts of food and enjoy the sympathetic caring service.
