Yes finches do seem to knock a lot of seed back,I have three feeders and they always seem empty. Great photos, the sky is a bit frightening.

I love having the time now to really appreciate the large and small dramas that nature displays for me every day Summer and Winter alike.

We can tell a lot about storms, especially when they are impending, by animal behavior. They offer us a lot of clues about what it is to come.

I see that bird in this area sometimes, too. It's amazing how much

louder they all sing now that I've got my hearing aids.
