Wishing you a thoughtful Memorial Day!

The older we get, the more we understand about mortality and loss and pain... the more we know that glory is a delusion and that while some wars have to be fought, many did not and do not, but the lies we're told make us believe otherwise. Hitler had to be stopped... but it should have been at the ballot box, as we have the chance to choose now. He wasn't, so there was, perhaps, the last just war.

The world's related. And who's leading who matters for all love.

A very fitting banner. Thank you! And yes, you are right - I would have tried to do the same to keep my kids out of a war.

Kabu

Even though I never had to put my sons in chains I fully concur with your sentiments...

I have to admit I have been guilty of that myself. I will keep that in mind for the rest of today and when Memorial Day comes around next year.

You are right, and I'm sure that at times I have said that without really thinking.
