Scandal!

Everything would run a lot more smoothly if society's Rules took into account, with a kind eye, human nature. So much of what we are conditioned to believe and to do runs so counter to it!  I think the influence of body-punishing traditions is the result of a belief that the physical side of our nature is an enemy that must be put down. Which is like punishing a child for being child-like.

I haven't watched Nashville, it must come on the same time as

some comedy, which is what I watch whenever there's a choice. I'm going to miss "Mike & Molly" - I liked it for so many reasons. Melissa McCarthy, "Molly" is a fabulous comic actress with great physical skills as well as a sense of comic timing, but she's gotten into fashion, lost a lot of weight and is becoming more of a pretty girl than a chubby one. They had a St. Louis area blues singer playing the African American grandmother, and the music of Keb Mo for a theme song - (guess you can tell I was a fan). I liked the Chicago setting, the whole ensemble cast, the sarcastic bent to the humor, the twist fate puts on hopes and dreams that was woven throughout... Thank Heaven for reruns.

What an interesting family story you shared! I really enjoyed reading it. All families seem to have scandals, it seems.

That was a funny scene in Blues Brothers. I cannot imagine performing a concert where the stage is separated from the crowd with a chainlink fence...It does seem like every generation does have its family scandals.
