Well I have seen a small weedy one occasionally, but little gnats plague poor old Archie .

He tried everything, now he thinks a cheap disinfectant from the supermarket works better. We shall have to lug our second year dahlia plants outside and chance it they are two foot tall in places. I shall leave them all in the ground next year and hope for mild winters.I think you need a bit of help with the heavy stuff, no use killing yourself for the sake of proving your manliness and womanliness.Ever get slugs or snails in your parts?

Never seem ready for them

Every year the kids and I are always hunting for last years bug spray. They are getting bad here too. If we get snow maybe it will kill some of them off.

I've heard rumors about the size and virulent nature of northern

mosquitoes. I think a flock of Purple Martins would solve some of the problem there in Camelot. A Purple Martin birdhouse has to be mounted on top of a pole at least 10' tall, and in an open area so they have a take-off and landing approach field. They're graceful soaring birds, smaller than a robin, and they do love catching mossies on the wing.

Keep the weeds. You already have a garden love. LOL. And then enjoy!

It has been too cold for mosquitoes to live in my neck of the woods. I am sure that once summer arrives, the mosquitoes will be out in full force.

Take care of each other and yourselves!

Kabu

Maybe Wiley should make a martin house - they would take care of those mossies - they're a delicacy for those birds...

And re your comment: We Canadians are still way more tolerant than Aussies! If a Muslim hasn't got a job, we put his four wives on the welfare rolls as well! Actually, that's why many don't bother to get a job! Five can live cheaper than two...

And no, dear, I certainly do NOT 'detest' you, even if I have to constantly keep my eyes on the sky and watch for that broom of doom...
