Re: TAPS

Thank you very much. Guess it is a matter of personal taste!

Both beautiful.  I would hate to have to pick which is best.

Re: Katray2

Also glad it reads better to you, also. Yes, jarring images are unpleasant.

Re: C_C_T

Glad this version works better for you! I aim to please!

Still beautiful!...:)

In all honesty, I could understand C C T's point - for many perhaps, radioactive conjures up thoughts of nuclear effects, which is a bit jarring. Just my two cents.

Re: Nautikos

I do so agree with you. You read me well. Not subconsciously stated, either. And actually, the history of just California tells a story of deep-seated troubles, contrasted with the face of peace in a paradise-type setting, not to mention the rest of the world's provlems. Bingo!

RP

I still think the first version is more interesting. It reflects a (possibly subconscious) sense that there is a troubled world in the background of the moment's idyllic experience...

A lovely California scene you have described.

Please RPresta you must not take too much notice of what I say. Although for me at least this is perfect. Well you now have two versions so everyone should be happy. At least I can see you sitting admiring the view so tranquil without the fear of radiation.
