Those candidates...

They seek to win our confidence and votes by appealing to the worst of human character traits and attitudes, that they expect are the ones that drive most people's choices. Few candidates appeal to our higher qualities, but those are the ones that matter, the ones that raise us as a society instead of lowering us.

Eveybody is into fables today: you've got Bambi and Thumper, Justi has a rattle snake, and I am hinking about worms and owls, about which more may or may not appear, LOL...

About that refugee business: I haven't been following the debates, so I don't know who said what. But I do know one thing - we've got a huge problem on our hands and have very legitimate concerns. This is not simply a matter of 'fear mongering'!

A couple of the Muslim terrorists creating that bloodbath in Paris came in as 'refugees', and everybody who knows anything agrees that there any number of otherse able to create similar havoc and willing to die in the process. What is happening today, especially in Europe, is virtually without historical precedent, and I for one am not overly troubled when people sometimes fail to demonstrate the required levels of sensitivity in dicussing it. Come to think of it, it's a charge that has been leveled even at me, LOL...

LOL.  Well done.  Yes, Bambi was very special.  I remember the day daddy took us to the movies to see it.

I cried over the book, and over the movie when I saw it later. You have a point; they have a point; it's comforting to hide our heads in the sand for a bit.
