I'm with Annicita and Taps - who cares what they say? And I like clichés. It saves a whole lotta time!

I guess I'm just lazy because I really like cliches.  They take me back to other times and other places.

Pat

I thought I had left a really 'clever' (but probably dumb) comment about our lives sometimes being clichés, but I guess I pressed the wrong button - just as well, LOL...

I think it depends on the cliche and the persona using it...who cares what the pundits say or so called experts have to say

I want to stick my head in the sand too and stay until the cows come home

..:) Seriously, I know what you mean. And I am guilty of trying to disguise - from myself and readers - the fact I sometimes use cliche or two. I like or feel I need to convey the message/s they speak and go leaps and bounds of wordiness around them...

I suppose what ever will be will be Pat . We supposedly elect decent people to do the best under all circumstances , The trouble is they are all ordinary people at heart and most folk rely on the majority feeling that prevails. Once when I was young I was talked into visiting a community of some religious cult . It was really weird the atmosphere inside the hall was absolutely charged with some compelling emotion. My head was spinning as I made my way out not without pleas from the young attendants. People can be persuaded to do many things if there are enough advocates supporting the action. You may not agree of course, but I don't think you would be swayed easily.
