Well he came for one good reason, he made you laugh. I usually have a chat with the JW

if they catch me. One must not get to overenthusiastic though, one lady said to me quite recently after a little consoling picture of Lions eating grass next to a fat little fawn. 'Now would you like to come to our meeting tomorrow evening?' I looked sadly into her bewitching eyes and said, I am sorry but I would not come if you gave me a Thousand pounds. Put your own reply.

I have had a few Jehovah's Witness types come to my house, but I have never been around. I know they have been around because they have left their literature. It quickly finds it way to the recycling.

I would not have been in the mood to talk about the flood either.

Kabu

Very funny, LOL! And I always chat with 'those people' - they're usually very nice and they mean well! But maybe one has to be an atheist to be truly tolerant...

Gracious!  I don't let those people into our house.  One sure fire way to rid us of most of them is when I tell them I'm Jewish, and go to temple on Friday and Saturday evenings.  I don't, of course, and I know that lying is a sin, but it is literally the only way they will leave us alone!  I find it despicable that so many proclaimed Christians still harbour such hatred for the Jewish people.  That's one of the biggest reasons I left the church altogether.  The people there claimed love for their fellow human beings, but their actions showed to me the complete opposite.

Glad your day was brightened!

LOL, entertaining and uplifting, Dear Kabu!

I try to be polite when Jeh. Witnesses ring my doorbell; not very easy to hide though, haha..

I had a very flooded basement once back when I was young and stupid and didn't have any idea what to do and my husband was out on the ocean for one of his NAVY cruises.  I was scared to go down into the water to try to find the place to turn off the water.  I tried to get hold of my dad and he wasn't home.  I finally called my MIL and she came over and took care of it.  LOL.  Thats pretty desperate when you call your mother-in-law for help.
