Re: overtherainbow

Yes it sounds very nice Jean. I don't know if I want to get fatter I gave all my 32" trousers to the charities and now I have to buy some again. I think the neighbor was

probably hoping to sell the wool, he always had some scheme going. Your poor tree it must have been heartbreaking.

Re: Pat

It usually feels cold here if we have rain Pat. Very rarely we do get warm showers.

Not this year so far .

Re: Taps

We did have an inch, so that is a 25th of our annual rainfall. The apple trees were looking a bit droopy.

Yes I think this is just man made, I kind of fancy the malt for consumption. Not paint stripper.

Re: Naut

Well it is good for your new trees, I bet they don't complain.

Re: FS

Yes one day I expect we shall have to transport rain live to drought stricken areas. Although I expect by then you will not use liquid to clean cars.

It is interesting how you all were going through a drought while we in Maryland were going through a monsoon. It is feast or famine when it comes to water.

A poem many people can relate to.

A good soaking rain is a fine thing! Unless it's all the time.

My mom used to take plain vinegar and simmer it with herbs--tarragon, I think, usually--to make it flavored for salad dressing.  She also diluted it some so it wouldn't lift paint.

What a beautiful flower. The rain is great when it is needed. We need here so bad in Southern California. Have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for visiting my blog.

I'm glad you got some rain.
Your beautiful flowers always look so healthy and well watered.
It's nice that you finally got watered too.

I used to enjoy getting wet in a warm summer rain, brought up as I

was on the rainy, coastal side of the Cascade mountains. A brief shower and then the sun came out again, soon dry - if a bit wrinkled. Your flower photo is beautiful...

when i saw that flower it took my breath away, the color, and then talking about the rain, perfect!  wish i could send some of our warm rain your way, happens everyday now.  we are entering the dog days.  you need some fat on your bones to keep you warm and again i could supply that.  there seems to be so many kinds of vinegar....i use the white or clear to clean and the cider vinegar to cook and eat.  so sorry about your cherry tree.  we had a hugh cherry tree in our front yard and the hurricane took it out.  i was watching at the time and cried.....the ground got so wet and with the wind it just slowly laid down, like it was dying and it did die.  do you think your neighbor was trying to keep his house warm by making his own insulation.  even if the bags were not feed bags the mice would love to next in wool.  oh my another beautiful flower.  and you are a poet, and a photographer and writer and a grower of everything, and just a nice man.
