Re: Re:

I don't drink it either...bought some a couple of years ago for some kids and this is my way of using the cans up and saving my plants.

Re:

Well I bought six tins on your suggestion, I could not drink it but it may be useful.

We are all little smidgens.

Re: love the dahlias!

Well done Ciel you didn't do much good with them last year I seem to remember.

Dahlias need lifting in the Autumn , some we cover with a mulch and if it is not too frosty they are fine. .

Re: I hate it when the pesty little bugs manage to evade the sprayer.

you know Pat some use dish-washing liquid but the law is stringent on chemicals and one is not suppose to use anything that has not been tested and given the appropriate approval.

Re:Naut

I notice you have a musical ear Naut. I don't think they hit the high notes, but there again the bees are like aircraft revving up and it might make a difference.

Re: FS

Well fS most folk spray them with dubious mixtures of chemicals I do prefer to copy nature if possible.

You might be onto something there. That would be a major help in combating the disease that of which is afflicting them.

Beans are remarkably intelligent! They are also very musical - many can play the trumpet - I've heard them often...

I hate it when the pesty little bugs manage to evade the sprayer.

Mom used to brush the leaves with water containing dish soap, maybe a tablespoon of soap to a quart of water in a spray bottle. The soap clings on after the water drains away and the we midges don't care for the taste of it. Doesn't hurt the bean, which can be rinsed in the kitchen before cooking.  The dahlia is spectacular!!!

Beautiful flower. I wonder if you could give them a thunderstorm wash with a strong hose. Be blessed.

love the dahlias!

Maybe I will try those some year. This year I am excited to see the morning glories twining around the railings, front and back, and I see buds on them, too!

try spraying the leaves with Coca Cola. I find that it sticks the insects to the plant and they die.

Lovely flower mate and still thinking about yesterdays poem.
