I like Facebook - and your post is right on. I find that many have become more aware of something dear to my heart - cruelty to animals - among other things, and it can only do good in those cases.

Re: FormerStudentIntern.

I'd be glad to 'friend' someone who is actually a friend.  You can find me there as Christine Redding.

Having been on Facebook for almost ten years now, I am amazed at how fast it has evolved. I remember when it was only a college social network. One needed an e-mail address from a college to become a member. Over time, they allowed high schoolers and people who had workplaces before opening the website to all.

I have seen a lot of great conversations occur on Facebook as well. The site is coming along nicely.

The thing I don't like is so many offerings of friends. You have ideas that may gel with others. Used selectively no doubt it is a useful tool. Be happy.

Re: Kabu,

A lot of the kids who started out with it are now those adults, too!

Yes, the private chat is a real bonus, too!

i think perhaps it has become more adult...kids not using it as much because they don't really want to communicate with their parents snooping. I have a select group of friends i love to see there most days, and I enjoy the private chat line where I can get instant back.forth conversation with a friend.
