I thought you did not take in Gnomeless Gnomes. Be very careful once the word gets around. Now Kabu do you realize that if you plant perennials this late they they will most probably not bloom until next year. If you can afford it buy one or two grown plants from the garden center, the seed companies do not usually tell you this. If you want blooms this year plant hardy annuals. In June sow bi-annuals such as Sweet Williams but it might be a job to overwinter them in your garden. There are some nice dwarf sunflowers around in seed and they are a treat for the birds later. They do as you may have noticed sell the smaller ones as cut flowers, but I think the stalks are too rough to handle happily.
