Re: Jeansaw
One has to watch out for the eggs they are difficult to spot both snails and slugs. We fight a constant battle not wishing to poison the birds especially the few Song thrushes that eat snails. You still have not convinced me to eat them, but I used to like cockles and mussels, alive alive O.

i was sure suckered in with the poem and got a big laugh, thanks. and snails, ate them once in france and liked them, funny i thought they would live in the water, why i do not know, maybe it made them easier to eat. and here we have plenty of snails without the shells and we call them slugs, but you would not want to eat one.

Loved the poem. Snails, however, I can definitely do without - yuck!

I think of them as big snails an oyster seems more remote.

Well, I can go another 80 years without yearning for escargot or
something deep fried and crunchy from the insect family. I'll stick to things whose faces I cannot identify from the dinner plate... Veggies, preferrably. As for the courtship tease, nicely done!

I ordered escargo at a fancy restaurant once--just once. I didn't much care for them and it seemed like a waste of money when oysters are so much better.

Knowing you, you probably gave them names - a mistake...You can't eat things you've named, LOL...And as for the pretty maid - I'm sure there's a locksmith in your town....:)
