We always should be thankful that our feet can take us places we want to go to

Well now - I suppose we'd have rigged a souped-up Harley, hand controlled, to let you wander around and see all you wanted to see. That would be kool! And I do agree with the others, TAPS. You would have found some other way, and would be thankful anyway for all the rest that was good.

Knowing me so well, I do believe that I would have found something else for which to be thankful. ....

and that is our dear Taps.Always positive and true.

Yes dear lady you would always be thankful regardless. That is a good lesson for all of us. All belongs to God and what is ours is a complete gift. Thank you for this post it inspired me to be more thankful and less grumpy.Love you.

I agree. You would have found another way...thankfully you didn't have to do that.

Great to walk Taps if one can, it does seem a dying art and all these young women with high heels will eventually pay the piper. Keep going if you can I am sure it does one a world of good.

Funny how a solitary walk in the natural world awakens our appreciation

of life and its ordinary blessings, especially other people.

TAPS

Reading you all these years, I am also quite sure you would have....and not have complained at all....just found some great philosophical musings to share about it.  I wish that I had realized how much I would love hiking as a sport earlier in my life for I know it would have been my sport, that and cycling.  I had very high arches and extra bones that made my ankles very weak and cut short dancing dreams, always spraining them so I didn't run and didn't think about hiking. Too early, associated with that, plus years of heels, my knees started going and three scopes each I put off replacements for years....well, I love trails but they don't love me as much!  You keep truckin'!
