Kabu

Great and passionate post.  Although I've got tales I could share they are absolutely nothing compared to the atrocities still being waged in so many areas simply because of gender....ironically, determined by fathers.

Great posts Kabu!  I worked once for a industrial supply company.  I sold way more than men counterparts.  I found new ways to get their products out that they still use.  I was paid far less than the men.  I actually heard the manager say that it was because they had families.  Hmmm I was single with 3 children to support.  Still confounds my mind.

One thing to consider, at least here in the states is that woman who are single and much of their income is child support are then penalized with Social Security.  They can not claim that income, even though they have worked for it.

I talk to woman daily who feel that on their own they will end up destitute.  But I also talk to woman who do own their lives even if they are not paid equally, they use their pay smarter.

Yes, woman deserve more than they are given often.  But I love being a woman.  I will be able to build my business and take care of myself.

I hope to inspire others to do so as well.

Actually if one thinks about it Kabu, those women who have wealth have always enjoyed privileges. Sadly most women are poorer by reason of their role in life.

In the future if it exists women will become more powerful, if they wish to be so. The reason being procreation methods will probably change.

This s so well written. I go back years before you and I too know what it is like to be a woman in a man' world.  I too have a wonderful man in my life now who celebrates my womanhood as a free agent to do and enjoy doing anything the Lord has given me as he has to any man. Go girl Go!

You do a really good job on a soap box.  Climb on it often.

life is not so good for millions of women, but a lot of women are fortunate and are not grateful like you are.  so celebrate you are a wonderful woman, caring and sharing and always trying to lift your sisters up.

I like the idea of profesional women in the work force. The wage gap... it's changing

 gradually.

A powerful entry you have written. So many women find the workplace difficult, and indeed, there are women living in poverty. Hopefully, things change quickly.

Kabuiepie-:)~

I am keeping out of all this. It's like all the Muslim diatribes, it has no peaceful ending except here where I tow the line. LOL

Actually, maybe if more of us got up on our soapbox changes would happen faster.

Re: Marriage relationships - one tycoon or king or whatever marries

It is a sale isn't it though Pat. I suppose I could have done huge research and written a thesis on my subject.

Marriage relationships - one tycoon or king or whatever marries

his daughter to the son of another tycoon or king to build a familial alliance - may or may not be considered a form of selling, but it's one of those things they do to keep the riff raff out of the power/wealth circle.
