Well, we got a dusting,

but down here, that still delays school openings for several hours.

We got hit Saturday night as well . . . several inches, no meters! And I think English has enough words already that I'm still having trouble trying to remember how to spell! I don't think I can handle anymore . . .

Ciel

We've been Metric for years in Canada but I still use inches and feet. I'm math challenged but I know I'm 78

I know I am always vexed when seeds say these grow to x millimeters, at least it could say or inches. I think a metre of snow would be a big whack. Perhaps it is meant to signify drifts. How does Charlie get to work in this kind of weather?

We really ought to get with the program and learn the metric system

It surely can't be more difficult to learn a system based on 100s than it is to learn about inches and feet and yards, etc. Or ounces, tablespoons, cups, pints, etc...

I have a tendency to mix up 100 kilometers with sixty miles, at times saying the measurements are the opposite.
