I often find myself awakening at 4:30 a.m. before going back to sleep...I hate to stop payment on checks, too.

Re: Kabu,

It was an unusually busy day!

Today I only have to deal with a couple of things--the rent, for which I went to the bank and got a cashier's check, so if someone stole the first one from the mailbox, there is nothing in the acct for them... Stops, apparently, cost something and are not guaranteed to work. Then... the driver's door latch on the truck finally totally busted today, so the door is held together with grey tape until I can organize getting that fixed.

But it is warm out, all the slush/ice is going away and the sun is shining!

Re: CCT,

I read in a salesmanship book once that those signs that are meant to fend off salesmen are generally put up by people with poor sales resistance, so they head straight for them.

No snails here, they go south for the winter, to Pueblo CO.  Maybe not that far.

Re: Pat,

She has been a bit aloof lately, so I like her choosing to be beside me... just not between me and the laptop.

Re: JimmyA,

No, the thoughts that interfere with sleep are about having to make a trip back to Wa State to pack up and move 30 years worth of stuff from the old place, by the end of Feb when my driver's door on the truck won't stay shut without duct tape. And a few other things.

China is at the moon, actually, and plans to start operations by 2020.

Sales kids, robo calls. Yikes.

But Violetta on the arm of the chair?  Cozy...

These are the thoughts keeping you up? Geez! I wonder what tomorrow night will bring! And no matter what China thinks or does, they're not going to the moon anytime soon to do anything! Trust me . . .

I would not want to be a sales kid as you call them. I have not seen one for yonks.

Most of the houses have notices on the doors. WE DO NOT BUY OR SELL FROM THIS DOOR>.  Perhaps he he had been selling cat food, he might have made a sale. I do have The Clean-easy man call every month I don't know how he scrapes a living, He is local so  amid protests I usually order something like yellow dusters which are still in the porch a month later. The snails would get your chegue in some post boxes here if left too long. I suppose they cannot climb through snow.

I am tired just from reading your day...Winter time we three could be mummified here before anyone came to look I think. We do go out most days though, just to be part of life..get the mail, buy a few groceries...
