Geez, don't get me started with those darned catalogs! We seem to get several a day! It was even worse in the days leading up to Christmas! People selling everything from clothing to bric-a-brac to various meats to camping equipment. Nothing we need! And perhaps those gathering birds would like some of those pickles. Hey, ya never know . . .

A maggot in the chutney ain't quite as bad as a fly in the chocolate. At first I thought it might be a raisin, but then I remembered there weren't supposed to be an raisins in it...And do gentlemen wear regimental ties in a nudist colony? :)

Sell-by doesn't mean throw-away date.
It should be good for some little while... Sell-by dates are very conservative.
Maybe your committee should meet in the house in the winter, if they are going to meet in the buff.

I love Mangoes...enjoyed quite a few beautiful Mango in Australia...love Mango chutney as well and have a jar to open ...now what do I do thinking of maggots!!!
