Re: Naut,

I can sit on my couch and see out both the eastern and western windows at the same time.

Re: TAPS,

I like to wake up if I am having strange, unsettling dreams.  If they are interesting or very pleasant, I will try to stretch out sleep as long as possible!

Re: FormerStudentIntern.

Some words are like that.

Re: Kabu,

suggestion: take one carry-on with presents for everyone, and buy a bunch of T-shirts and jeans when you get there. Maybe bring one party dress. Pack one fold-up duffle, in case you are bringing me back a lot of presents.

Re: CCT,

I like the sound of that second suggestion...

Charlie is doing well, sticking with the customer service job while he waits to hear about the substitute teacher job.  I think he feels best about helping customers with problems that actually represent a lot of money to them.  The Dinner Detective gig is over: they decided to 'change direction' and let people go by email.  Nice, eh? At least it's nothing personal.

Re: adnohr,

You would have enjoyed today's dawn: brilliant pink/flame clouds in the east, spreading the color to strange clouds over the west and the mountain... brilliance quickly fading in the sky, but lasting in memory.

I know exactly what you are saying - one of my favorite rituals is admiring the early morning.

H'm what you need is one of those gadgets that make tea or coffee by the bedside. Or a manservant to bring you breakfast in bed. I honestly think I would feel overwhelmed by the mountain rather too mystical so early in the day. How's Charlie getting on?

you are a much better girl than me...I resist, refuse to open my eyes and snooze on.so much to do this last week and I cannot be bothered ...it will be a mad dash at the end if I am not careful. Sigh

A lovely word it is pre-dawn.

Anytime I wake up, I usually come fully awake and ready to be up and about.  It wasn't always that way. When I had to get up at certain time to go to work, I fought it with the snooze button more times than not.

Ciel

It must be very pleasant to enjoy one's morning coffee looking at such a magnificent sight! My own is far more modest, but at least I am looking at some tall cedars blocking the view of neighbouring houses...
