Re: Naut,

Mostly, the fears and trepidations are of my own making, in my own head.  The permanent solution is to give up my paid health coverage in Washington and start paying for membership here. Technically, I am still a Washington resident.

I'm glad you like the card--I figured it was yours when I saw that sleek sailing ship!

Re: Pat,

We should make more noise for the victories of good will and altruism!

If you will email me an address, I have a little something to send your way.

Re: Kabu,

Thanks for your great vibes and all!  The clinic is Kaiser Permanente, and I have been pretty well pleased with the service there.

You can always dance in the hallways, and you don't have to dress up as much as outside and 30F requires. In fact... well, we can share that image in our heads, yes?

I am certainly glad you managed to navigate those bureaucratic waters so well without running onto the rocks - the whole thing seems like a nightmare designed for Halloween! You say you're in the clear for another 90 days now - does that mean you have to go through the whole thing once again? Is there no permanent solution?

And before I forget: I received your beautiful card from NZ yesterday - thank you very much!

It's great to read a story where health care folks actually care...

Maybe we just don't talk about it when things go well and so it seems the negative bits keep floating on the breeze.

I have been thinking of you all day and then a card arrived and i sent more positive energy your way and more prayers and now I read your post and i just say Thank you. Sounds like this clinic is pretty caring and open to putting people first. I think I will go outside and do a little dance...perhaps not it is 30 F. out there.
