I did have O.C.D once, so I know one must fight the feeling.My B.I,L cannot bear to see a bit of paper on the floor. I would not worry about your garage prob. I suppose you could put a lock and chain across the door. Sadly take that prob away and another might arise.

Sorry to hear about both you and Arthur. And good for you for not allowing the pharmaceutical companies to get any richer off of you. Not every problem needs to be resolved with drugs! I believe you have a strong enough mind to face any of these mental challenges! Take a deep breath, count to 10 ( or 15, or 20, or wherever you wish to stop ) and forge ahead . . .

I'm sorry to hear that Arthur is not well - for some reason I always saw him as a picture of health! Do tell him there are people here in the colonies who wish him the best...
And I think we're all a bit obsessive and compulsive at times, without elevating it necessarily to the status of a 'Disorder'! I just happily obsess somewhat compulsively about all kinds of stuff, and don't worry about it...

I don't have OCD per se, but I always panic when I leave the house thinking I forgot to shut the garage. We have the Harley in there (1981 that has been a part of my mans life since 1982) and oh yeah an entrance to the house itself. I can't tell you how many times I have called my neighbor to ask him to check it.
