Re: CCT,

My very first camera might have been a Brownie... I got it by redeeming Green Stamps that the grocery stores gave out with shopping orders.  Pinhole cameras were the first and simplest... I am not quite sure how it worked. Your uncle should have been allowed to keep that sixpence. Did the other kid keep the photo?

All kinds of pretty good snapshot cameras are out there, and not terribly expensive. The only really great thing about this one is the 24x optical zoom. I didn't find it at a yardsale, neither.

Lovely photos Ciel I shall have to pinch your camera. I expect you will say you picked it up at a yard sale. You should have been a reporter for a magazine. I should not think that you remember the Brownie camera. Years ago my Dad once told me that his brother made a camera, don't ask me how, this is going back 100 years or more . He took a photo of a boy opposite and sold him the photo for sixpence. The lad's mother who was a right old biddy complained to the photographer's Father and the money was refunded.

Re: Kabu,

In fact, he does!  Most first-year participants are volunteers, but because he has an official role as Court Drummer, he will be paid $600 for the 8 weekends.

Those cats really are big pussycats. So many pictures here, so much to enjoy. Does Charlie get paid for this Gig.
