You might ask them to write about their most exciting/frightening adventure...Another good topic might be for them to examine who and what shaped their thinking to what it is today...What would they still like to learn, and what is it that prevents them?

i think I put some ideas in yesterdays comment...Ancestors...as we get older i think a lot of us enjoy writing about where we came from especially as we are all immigrants or decendats of.

Ask them the first thing they would do if they changed sex overnight.
Or they have to write about a burglary that they have to commit when the owner
is out and they have to search the house. Don't scare them Pat.
