That kind of sales job can be mind-numbing, but it can also be an experience helping you to explore yourself. In my student days I once sold the Encyclopedia Britannica (here in Canada that is still considered the best, LOL) for a short while; what bothered me most was that the leads I got were mostly people, often semi-literate, who needed a lot of things before they needed an encyclopedia. I just didn't feel good about the whole thing (didn't sell many either, LOL) and got myself a real job, driving a cab...

Similarly to Amanda's poems you could us hot off the asks? Lol. And good luck in the company love.

Re: CCT,

Charlie is used to being liked. He is not used to being berated by people who are angry about something or someone else. This is coming as a bit of a shock, but not a bad one, really, considering the business he wants to be in: the world of entertainment is more mean than not!

Nothing subconscious about it, I feel it when he is bruised. Sometimes the hard bit is staying out of the way and let him deal, let him learn. I am not worried about his ability to sort out what's important and meaningful from what's not. What worries me more is that he might take that graveyard shift job at the convenience store just down the street.

Re: Kabu,

Life's a juggling trick, isn't it, for all of us? The chainsaws go up, they go down... now and then someone tosses in the flaming bowling ball... or a dark chocolate truffle...

Seems Charlie has got into something that could mash ones self confidence if one did not have plenty. Sales is pretty gritty, he deserves better than this . He is bound to get plenty of stick everyone is so suspicious these days. Perhaps you are subconsciously worrying about him Ciel? It can be very tiring. The only good thing any job Charlie takes after this should be a piece of cake.

Oh but this is a tough business and I admire Charlie for working so hard to try and make it work for him. There has been so much going on for you with Charlie's graduation and taking on the paid for work World. Family coming and going and now the heat. You just take care of you dear friend of ours You just take care of you.

The heat can be tough on oneself.

Be well, Ciel, and mind yourself in that heat!

Re: Pat,

Some of these people are likely to turn up in the plays he one day writes!  They have no idea who they are messing with!

Never piss off the bard!

If nothing else, this experience for Charlie will serve as a character

study. I hope he makes some money at it, but sales is a tough racket, especially with so many highly-publicized scams out there. People are wary. I hope you acclimate to the heat very soon and it doesn't continue to drain your energy. Drink plenty of water (but you knew that).
