I am very sorry about your tree; however, i am very pleased it did not fall on your apt.

We had some heavy downpours on Tuesday and Wednesday. Fortunately, I got my golf game in on Tuesday.

Glad you are safe, sad for the tree going.

The fairy ring might surprise you by coming back.

Mother Nature giveth, and Mother Nature taketh away! Nothing seems to be permanent anymore! Believe me, we know how you feel about that tree ( we lost 9 after Hurricane Sandy ). At least it's over and done with now. Go get some rest . . .

I hate to lose a tree, and I know you'll miss that one, but it's a good

thing that lightning hit something other than your cozy nest...Great description of the
event - I could feel, see and hear it like a scene in a movie.

TAPS

It's always sad to see trees go! I'm still not over the fact that we have lost all the trees in our once beautifully green and shady street...

I agree with Kabu - she couldn't have said it any better. Great post...love your last sentence.

Taps, wow did we ever dodge that bullet!

I hate to see a tree die and you and I know that the fairies will be having a brain storming meeting to see what can be done to turn another tree into a magical beautiful picture of motion where birds nest and yes fairy rings survive.
