Yum! Chives on baked potato! Add a dollop of sour cream with that, and I'm drooling! Soup is one of my favorite meals and I don't believe I have ever found one I didn't like. This one sounds tasty.

Re: Justi

I still love the plain old chives on baked potato and on scrambled eggs.

Oh that soup sounds great. I am not familiar with Chinese Chives is it the same as society garlic. It grows up like chives, blooms, taste garlicky has a flat leaf not a chive round leaf. I will Google it. I forget we can find anything.

Re: C_C_T

So far, it has been so nothing with his neighbors that I have forgotten that I wrote about it.  At least they're quiet, and the oldest one got out and mowed the lawn yesterday.  He has spoken with son a couple times about where the property line is, how is the neighborhood, is it OK to burn scrap wood in the backyard.  Things like that.  It was the mother of them that made it sound as if it was going to be trouble.  LOL

TAPS

The soup sounds great - I have to look for Chinese chives... And I see you too are into making your own Hummus! I just made a batch with the usual (chick peas, tahini and a clove of garlic) plus sun-dried tomatoes and lime juice, then adding a little yoghurt to soften it a bit more...

Well Taps I have several pepper plants in the greenhouse but we are a bit behind you in seasons. I like growing different veggies, but have no idea how to cook them. Sounds like you do, with a vengeance.  I just wondered how you other son is getting on with the new neighbors?

It is all about finding that balance...I ate lunch a few hours ago, and now I am hungry after reading this.

It sounds good, but too much of anything can have its drawbacks. Ya gotta spread it out a little . . .

It sounds heavenly and green. I'm thinking of making a batch of

potato salad, since it's the first official weekend of summer. I've got this one giant potato that will make enough salad to feed four people...
