Re: kabu

We might have been and what fun that would be. And yes, Australia was short of adult workers. The baby boomers were still growing up. LOl and we needed people with skills and education. Our population was so small and our country so huge.

kabu

back in the 70's i read about a program in australia that if you had a trade they (the australian government) would pay to move you into australia, i believe you had to pledge to say at least 5 years.  well my husband and i talked about it, we had just bought our first home and i imagine that is what made up our minds not to go......but we were seriously talking about it.  we might have been neighbors, lol.

Even down here in Ontario's near-tropical South it got a mite chilly again - where's all that global warming when we need it?

I did not know that Australians and New Zealanders had issues at one point with one another. It is interesting to read about how different groups of people get along.

Yes, Winter's sent a chill here, too - people wearing coats out there

in the middle of May. Near record chill here - but 48 or 50's not exactly icicle weather.
The squirrels have found the flower pots I spent so much time on - and have begun
digging them up. Now I'm not sorry I gave their peanuts away to the food drive...

An interesting post. Here Hispanics and Asians get money as well as the older women who have never paid a dime into social security come up with as much or more than my own. That is wrong in any language, place or kind.

Interesting post.  It seems that there are always takers all over the world.  But, praise the Lord, there are also those who are givers.
