I occasionally visit Starbucks when I'm on the go somewhere, but when I'm at home I prefer my own latte! Others like it too - maybe I should open a coffee bar...

I've never made it a habit to go to Starbucks.  I have visited the one at Barns & Noble a time or two.  Now, if you were around, I would meet you there.  That would be fun.

Well at our local Supermarket one can get a free coffee in a tub. I don't really agree with it because there are other coffee shops  and they have to make a living. I don't know what it tastes like as I would feel embarrassed to hand my store card over. One or two customers are annoyed as folk walk round drinking the freebie. Why not take your own cake and a nob of extra sugar.

I am not a coffee drinker and I much prefer Panera or St Louis Bread Co but even their prices keep creeping up...So time to find a new one once (if ever) I am back in the states....

they can only improve their game if loyal patrons do complain. Good for you.

I must admit, their outrageous prices don't affect me at all, because I never go to Starbucks! I believe I tried them once, and that was enough for me! When I want a cup of coffee, I want a cup of coffee . . . not some obscure java blend that tastes like watered-down shoe polish. And the 'social aspect' has no bearing on my patronage either. Sorry . . . just not my cup of tea ( pun intended )

As a non-coffee drinker, I have never been in a Starbucks, just at the drive thru or parking lot with my mother. Therefore, I was, until your entry, unaware of the changes...It will be interesting to see what their response is.
