fsi, agreed. I always called my professors dr. or Mr. or Mrs. even had
One Miss.

I think that If I remember properly, i used to call my tutors and lecturers either Hey you or by their first name...but then, I was older than half of them. LOL. As an Rn, I don't know why but everywhere I worked they always called me Sister... even though it was no longer used in hospitals.

I think that if I were a teacher, instructor, professor, doctor, I would just like to be called "TAPS".  Nerd smile

Now it is unusual, I think, to use a formal address.

All Charlie's theater dept instructors--rarely 'profs'--are addressed by first names, no matter age or position in the school hierarchy. Everyone seems comfortable with this.
