Do you mean you are going to play skittles while the micro wave cooks the lunch?

Never heard of a Skittle perhaps it is a frying pan down under. A skillet is a frying pan dearie. No I did not know either until I looked it up. I think the first ones were flat made by the black smith . I have one supposed to be Scottish. I was afraid it would fall on someones head so it hangs at the side of a cupboard. Rashers again I suppose.

Sounds a bit misz garden-wise, watch out for slugs and try to keep the pellets away from your little pals saucers of milk are really good if you let the first dead slugs decay. It seems to pull them in in bucket loads, but it don't half whiffle.

I'm sure you would love to be outside doing things, but staying warm and dry inside and curling up with a 'good book' is not a bad substitute! My friend's mother ( who actually turned 82 yesterday ) had and has absolutely no use for computers or 'modern technology,' but my friend bought her a Kindle as well, and she too has mastered it and loves it! Just can't stop progress sometimes . . .

Great idea to clear out all those whiz-bang unnecessary appliances.

Like you, I find I used only two or three and the rest are just gathering dust.

i have never heard of a skittle, ????  sounds like a good thing for two people.  and rain, rain go away.  pensacola had 26 inches of rain yesterday, lots of damage, but we are 30 minutes away and high and dry, only 5 inches of rain to deal with, just spongy ground.

went out today and got enough out of the garden to have a nice dinner salad, hope you get to get out in your garden soon!!!

Re: kabu
My yard is half done and we have rain every day. Getting anxious to finish up. And about the kindle, before Mama passed in '12 (94), I used to sit by her bed and read quietly. Every so often she would raise her head and ask how I could read when it was so dark. I had to show her several times. I think she was completely blind by then but she never mentioned it. I miss her awfully.
