Well I always thought it was a bit dull, but lovely to watch and drowse in a deck chair listening to the bees on a warm afternoon. Of course that was proper cricket.

Kabu

The Aussie's explanation is absolutely clear and correct! And you can tell that the American doesn't know what he's talking about...

Okay . . . I think I've got it. But what I believe I would have to do now is, print out those rules/explanations, and have them on-hand while actually watching a game! But being a huge 'Amercian' baseball fan, I have to ask one thing: what were they drinking down there when they came up with this sport . . . ?

I got it..I think, but its the closest I have ever been...Is that a help?

Sounds like a wonderful opportunity to catch up on your drinking...

Sit in the bleachers and every time someone goes in, or goes out, or vice versa, sip a bit of tea or single malt Irish whiskey. Two or three innings or outings, and you'll find it all fascinating, all the players valiant competitors and never mind anything else.
