No probs Carolyne it is not his real name. How he came by it was a misfire on his part.
We were working on the garden and two kids,neighbors came inquisitively to watch what we were doing. Fred as we will call him, always trying get one over on me said.
Look what me and Archie are doing. The little kids laughed . That's Mike. So you must be Archie. They call him that to this day Though they must be pushing thirty.

i need your permission. i'm THINKING, CONTEMPLATING but not actually doing... writing a fictive account of mental illness and i was wondering if i might borrow archie as my protagonist. i rather am fond of your alter ego. my name is tigger and my writing mentor is eeyore cause she's of the gloom and doom variety and really likes christopher robin and thinks i'm a tigger cause I can be so emotional.
