Re: BC-A,

It was a healthy walk, and saved coins, indeed!

Re: CCT,

The sky is so very large here, the distant red clouds don't always give warning of the weather to come right here.

All stores have to do a full inventory each January to determine, from what's left, the cost of goods sold. Though, I can tell you, if I had the wherewithal to buy out certain cubbies at the Woolly Works, I'd have done it, and we would not have had to count so much!

The parking was free about 2.5 blocks from the shop, not a bad walk, and good for me, though it was cold in the mornings and evenings.  In Olympia, WA, they walk around with a long stick with chalk on it, to mark tires: same theory in play, as watching the valves, though we could see when they had passed by. Your wardens are tricksier.

Re: TAPS,

I've yet to see such hail, but it is one of the definite pleasures of living here, to see the mountain in it's many dress-ups.

I always enjoy your comments over flickr-way!

Re: Kabu,

On  a clear morning, it is like that for about 15-20 minutes, then the rose and fire fades to white snow and grey stone. It makes it worth being awake for that brief time.

Re: JimmyA,

I suppose, if you consider squirrels and cats and the occasional raccoon, or as my granddaughter calls em, ratcoon...   I understand, I have the same trouble with my eyes seeing not quite what's actually there.

Lovely photos, but red in the morning not so good. Whatever will happen to all the yarn a massive sale perchance?  I suppose it is quite exciting for you in a way, well you appear to be pleased to sort through the stock. Folk are lucky here Ciel we have loads of free parking spaces, well if one can get there early and pick the plum sites. If it is a limited time, say four hours it is wise to move one's car a few yards as the wardens check the position of the tyre valves, but don't tell anyone I told you.

Beautiful pics.  I've never seen Pike's Peak like that....always spring, summer or fall and usually middle of the day.  I have seen storms over it and once an unbelieveable amount of large hailstones was dumped on Ute Pass on us.

Those pictures are amazing. Your mountain looks like it is on fire.

Good luck too with the parking. No one wants to pay that sort of money out.

Yeah, the weather has been fluctuating all over the place here as well, one day 20°, the next day 50°, and then back down to 30°! Weird! And I think I really need to get my eyes checked! For some reason, I read you were looking to park on a 'meatless street!' I was going to ask, is there any other kind?
